Mother of us all
who birthed a countless amount of heroes
your verdant breasts nurish us all
Dark clefts and secret places
store and protect your mysteries
Soverign queen
you who has a countless number of faces
beautiful to those who earnestly seek
ugly to those who are determined to defile
your sacred body and dominion
Your wide lap
feeds us all
supports us all
we lay back and if we listen quietly,
you will fill us with your nurishment
your dreams will drift through our heads
the seats of our souls
whispering of the rich treasures
that come with us taking care of each other.
We all come from you
at the ends of this life
you will take us back into yourself
renewing us and reworking us
when finished, we are birthed
out of your countless wombs
Thank you Mother
You are the grower
you are the storyteller
you hold the essence of us in your memory forever
you are there to accept us home
Author's Notes: Looking at the green creep across wet spring ground in Alaska, I have to give thanks to the one who makes it possible at all. If she wasn't here, none of us would exist. Sometimes its way too easy to forget that.
