Dancing Lord

Om! Namah Shivaya!
My Lord Shiva,
master of the sacred dance
you who stirs the mother into action
with the love you have for eachother
Dance your rhythm within my soul,
turn me torwards the proper path
A smile rests upon your beautiful lips,
ever singing the songs of creation and destruction.
The flame within your eyes lead me on
with the purpose to dance forever on
You are ever living, ever dying for all of us
The Moon graces your dark locks,
that weave endless patterns behind.
I watch with rapt attention at the beauty
Lay my soul within your heart,
O Lord of the Dance
May I be rocked safely within forever
May your arms, warm as the summer sun,
smooth as the creamiest marble,
keep me safe
Hail! Lord of the Dance!
Hail! Lord of the Mountain!
Hail! Lord who loves all!
Om! Namah Shivaya!
Author's Notes: I wrote this soon after I composed the one for Ma Kali. Lord Shiva is considered a destructive deity, but he is portrayed also as very compassionate. People may be shocked at the fact that I serve such wrathfully portrayed deities, but like some witches say, *where there is fear there is power* . I serve them because they called to me with a feeling that I couldn't ignore. Shiva and Kali Ma come to me when I need to face the fact that something needs to change. They are the primary Gods that I serve (I serve others as well) because of the fact that change is the only constant in the universe.
