Invocation to the Quarters/Circle Casting

Blessed Be and welcome Great Guardians of the North,
May you grant us stability in that which we work and that which we seek.
Praise to the Watchers of the North
Blessed Be and welcome Great Guardians of the East,
May you grant us the growth and the new beginnings that we will need on our journey.
Praise to the Watchers of the East!
Blessed Be and welcome Great Guardians of the South,
May you grant us the willpower to achive that which we are meant to reach.
Praise to the Watchers of the South!
Blessed Be and welcome Great Guardians of the West,
May you grant us the wisdom to use wisely what we have learned before.
Praise to the Watchers of the West!
Blessed Be and welcome Ancestors and Benevolent Spirits of the Cosmos,
May you help keep us safe and witness us in our rites.
Praise to the Spirits and the Ancestors!
Blessed Be and welcome Great Lord and Great Lady,
May you watch over us with generosity and love for this rite and in life, in the myriad forms that you take.
Praise the Goddess and the God!
With all present and guided by their Will,
in love and in trust,
this circle is cast,
so mote it be!
Author's Notes: This is my formal circle casting that I wrote to use in group settings. I haven't had much time to use it, my group right now just meets for discussion, nothing formal. I kept it generic in terms for ease of memorization and to keep down the possible offence that may be caused by naming just one form of the divine. The closing is basically done in reverse with a past tense on some of the words.
