Queen of Prosperity
Bright Lady of Fortune
You shower the three worlds with your gifts
Heaven, Earth and the Underworld
All beings seek your sweet favors
Search for your loving look
One glance from your raidiant eyes
bestow one thousand graces
The Lord of Preservation is your husband
you are a bright, glittering jewel upon his breast
You are mistress of his house
All beings revere you always
Abundance and wealth of all kinds lay within your lap
You bring what is most needed with a knowing smile
You are the nymph with the smokey gaze
Who beckons to all at the edges of their dreams
Who leads them down the path of greater creativity
As Bhu, the Mother Earth, the fruits of all are within your domain, you support us all with unconditional love
Your love sustains all who live on you
Bless us with your abundance Mother
Bless us with your patience Mother
For You are dear to us all
Author's Notes: Sri Lakshimi ( Sri means blessed and is applied to many gods and saints) is one of the most revered goddesses in the Hindu (Santana Dharma) faith. She is seen as the wife of Vishnu (the preserving force of the trinity of main gods) . She is very loving, but can be very fickle, especially if the person is doing deeds that will gain negative karma. ( There are many stories of her going back and forth between the gods and demons, whoever can win her favor by living right) . She loves a clean, happy, bright household and is a good deity for the home. i composed this as a prayer to her to welcome her in to a home.
