Hymn to the Mother

Mother love
Mother bright
Mother life
Mother dark
Mother terrible
Mother mystery
You who are awakener
of the Father
You dance with him
Closer than any lover
You who are clothed with space
frolick your way among us
we are dear to you
we are your play things
You whose laugh echoes throughout all
whose cries call to those who can hear
*Come follow the steps in the dance, play part in this play!*
Your different masks show each a different face
clothed with the tapestry of the universe
You peek at us from the mysterious places
giving us the tasks that we cannot ignore
scaring us to action
calming us with your love
Those that seek you always find you
in the shadow, in the bright
places and temples
within their own hearts

Mother terrible
Mother mystery
Author's Notes: The mother (as well as the father) has dark and light faces. I always see them as dancing no matter what they do. Energu is always in motion, spinning, in ebb and flux.
