Moon Visions

The Moon's in the sky
And the Sun has set
As I make a vow
That I won't regret
To love you
To hold you
To seek you
Adore you
I seek an ancient wisdom past
A joy and love that will ever last
You are the virgin and the Crone
Because of you I'm never alone
As I look through the darkness of my past
I see a vision through the looking glass
A road is laid before me now
As I tremble from the sound of a terrible shout
The earth starts to shake
And the sky does fall
While the oceans rise to devour all
Well I wake with a shiver
And a rock in my gut
And I hurry to write in the book
Before it's shut
To find a way to escape this fate
To turn the tide before it's too late
I know now that the vision I saw
Weren't a dream or a sign or a prophecy at all
Naught but a whisper of a warning in my heart
That the path I was on would for certain fall apart
So I take a look through the looking glass again
To see if I can find a way to change the end
I look to the east and I look to the west
For a sign in the heavens that would comfort me best
And lo and behold as the Moon did rise
She danced with abandon in the starry skies.
And right then I knew just what I had to do
To love you
To hold you
To seek you
Adore you
You feel so close when you touch my heart
Let's dance together so we never grow apart
I so long to make my home
In the summerland where we'll never grow old
So let's dance together under Moon and Sky
And never let a single chance for joy to go by.
To love you
To hold you
To seek you
Adore you.
Adore you.
Author's Notes: This was a bit of poetry I eventually turned into a song, that I've only sung on a couple occasions during the full moon in a sort of solitary worship session. I hope someone enjoys it :)
