Restless Being

I've been gone for too long
You don't understand
You cant, you can't
Knowing what I know
Seeing what I see
What Will I Be?
What will I be? What will I see?
What can I do?
Who, who, who?
What will I do?
To you?
To me?
What can I be?
What can I be?
Be, be, be?
Do you see?
The stars are shining.
Can you hear the piners pining?
See the miners mining?
I see the stars a shining.
Now are we combining?
Author's Notes: Another one from a time of drifting. A number of my poems from this time follow this theme of being gone and searching for home, though it wasn't exactly on purpose. Ones like these don't really follow a logical line of thought at all, as I am really trying to express a mix of emotions I really don't have the words for. Longing for a home I've left, despair at knowing I don't belong there, "pining" for a home searched for but not yet found, feeling that I'll never find it, ecstasy at having escaped a home where I felt confined and imprisoned, unappreciated, and not accepted. "Until Then", this one, and of course "Home" all follow this theme, and it was a chronicle of my struggle to find something I very much needed desperately, though I couldn't even describe what I was looking for. Now I know that it was the home I've found in Paganism. And I haven't as yet put into words my joy and relief at having achieved what I searched for so long. A poem dedicated to this forthcoming, hopefully. :)
