Of Worlds, the Will, and the Way

Now you have the will
Now you know the way
Now you have the will,
To fight another day.
Now some time has passed
And looking back through time
You've seen where things went wrong
And you feel yourself to blame
And that life's not always kind
You're sorry now
You feel bad now
But it's in the past
Can't let it get you down
I see you oft times around
Bearing burdens as you see fit
Always with disconsolate frown
It's walking tall that you don't get
For oft I see you with eyes cast down
Just take the time to search your soul
You have within everything you need
To make you whole
There's a world beyond
What downcast eyes can ever see
And more beyond even this
And you have the thoughts
You hold the key
To heaven's gate
Eternal bliss
Author's Notes: A poem to myself, sort of. Sometimes I think the divine speaks through us, to us, through our writing. Perhaps that's why we do it so much. For another that I felt this way, see "Astral Traveler"
