Chance Meetings

Chance meetings ever fleeting
Passing by so fast
Aromas floral I become so oral
As we explore the past
I feel I'm falling today
I begin to say
But then I see your face
It's awesome how I'm feeling now
Upon that piercing glance
I'd take your hands, go to faraway lands
If I were given the chance
Visions of light against feelings of fright
Don't know how I can stand such a sight
It makes me feel, as if everything's real
Again, for now, and forever
But I know alas, that this cannot last
From the bottom of my spine I shiver
And as you turn to go, I can hardly contain my woe
As the tears threaten to flow
Will we ever meet again,
At the fancy of fate's whim?
Like so many things, I don't know.
I just don't know.
