Head stuck fast, I'm swirlin`
Good to hear from you girl and
Do you remember, back when we were children?
Yesterday, it's gone away
You've gone away, here I stay
Here I'll be until I see
The somber pall bearers
On the way to my grave
Are our moments of love forever lost?
We did what most would say makes sense.
You went to school, I built a fence
At such a cost
I see you on the other side
Through our memories I rise
Like a frothy steam of the mind
The warmth of those thoughts
Is such a comfort
The golden hue of forgotten summers
Reminds me of your perfect skin
The curve of your bosom
That made me want to sin,
Oh what a state of nostalgia I'm in!
Your vibrant smile,
Those perfect teeth,
Your wondrous beauty
You did bequeath
To one so lowly, undeserving as I
I'd get lost forever and a day
In your eyes
Your eyes so deep
Like pools without bottom
Having lost one such as you
I can't help but weep
But as they say,
"Tis better to love..."
And I'll always remember
And though my poor heart's
Been burned to a cinder
I will love you always
Now, and forever
