Master (Liar)

Family
What is family?
Mother? Father?
Aunts and uncles?
Community? Tribe?
Where is family?
Where is my family?
Those who love and accept
No matter what mindset you're in
They who're close as closest friend
For you provide and you for them
Together you struggle, together live
Together forever until the end
Why has this feeling come again?
I thought it was over, found my way
But it's come again to say:
"You're alone, unloved, you freak.
You will never find, my love,
That which you so desperately seek.
Give up. You're done. You're stuck. It's over.
Loneliness is your only God.
I am your Master.
Your only ever constant lover,
And mine you'll be forever after.
I'm the only one who knows you.
I'm the only one who loves you.
I and I alone accept,
The heaviness of your karmic debt.
They, this world does not adore you,
Understand or see as I do.
And they never will you see,
You heinous, criminal, vile, freak."
But then a thing most unexpectedly
Happens with serendipity
I see your words, I hear your voice from faraway
Reminding me I'm not alone,
That one day I WILL find home
And so I say to you,
Cruel voice inside my head
That if I can't be my own....
I'd feel better dead.
And so I'll fight, and yet I'll fight
Until some distant shore I spy
A long yearned for welcome sight
Shores of home,
On which I've never been
Except in dreams I've never seen
Until that moment I will wait
And fight you, liar, I'm not afraid
Of you, or time, or anything.
This is my ode to home I sing,
To drown the voice of doubt
And ease the pain
This my ode of sweetest ending
May it be true and truly come to pass one day.
Author's Notes: ......yea so I'm in that mood again. Another one of the theme of "Home." Also for those who look closely you'll see Alice in Chains influence on this one. I've been on an Alice in Chains kick lately :)
