You Are Beautiful

I woke up this morning
As I always do
Feeling harsh
Feeling blue
Make the coffee
Bubbling beautiful bounteous brew
Soothes the troubled darkened mind
Wakes me back to seize my life
Everyday
Everyday
Touch the spirit
Touch the sky
Then to work and things mundane
A foot in both worlds
Hangman show me truth of dreams
I write this poem keeping brief
As time my master doth allow
To tell you all how much you mean
To me, my hearts, carry on
Thank you for your loving words
That you write, sincere contrite
You give me peace, you give me light
In darkened pathways, in the night
Thank you so much, I wish to give
Something back, I'm in your debt
So I will carry on myself
It is the reciprocal rhetoric gift
That we give to each other
It is beautiful, it is beautiful
YOU are beautiful
You are beautiful
