Alone Without You

Oft like a child in bed I lie
And with pained heart I softly cry
For I'm alone and truly fear
Not even once I'll hold you near
So with each rise and fall of breast
I think that 'twould be truly best
If I would take myself away
Into Death's arms without delay
For without you my life is through
Because my love my life is you.
