A deep rooted fear
An insecurity well hid
The horrible hatred
On your soul it does bid
A letent dream
A secret desire
The very fine line
Between envy and admire
In your voice I hear it
And in your eyes I do see
The likeness between us
Your soul wanting to be free
The over whelming fear
You try so hard to hide
The softness of your voice
The sleekness in your stride
Author's Notes: Written about a man I once worked with who hated be because I reminded him of a part of himself who he tried so hard to hide.
