Pale stars hiding in the timid sky
No clouds in sight, pounding heart
Awaiting a signal from the corner
It will be seen
Dead street lamp near a lonely tree
Not a shadow worth seeing exists, trembling hands
Viewing a signal from the corner
It has been seen
Sounds of anxious movement in the dark
No visible life, running feet
Fleeing the signal's message at the corner
It can no longer be seen
