Even in Dreams

I will sing to you a lullaby
It will take you to a time gone by
You'll go into the land of dreams
Where everything's not what it seems
Now close your eyes and drift away
To a place where no one can come
Where daytime memory stays at bay
It is here you'll find your love
Birds sing sweetly overhead
You laugh when fairies glide by
Then you see him standing up ahead
And into his arms you fly
His hair is like a sun lit flame
He's tall and proud like the mighty oak
He calls you by a familiar ancient name
Then he wraps you in his magick cloak
He takes you to his castle in the sky
And there he make a sacred vow
He pledges to always stand at your side
Though he is not sure just how
He know he's in the realm of dreams
And can fade away when you awake
But this traveler's much more than he seems
And you pray the evil spell he'll break
For a sorceress' black jealousy
Struck a curse at love's very heart
"If I can't have him, then no one will!"
Her fury drove the lovers apart
She spat her curse from hates' black fire
"No more shall these lovers be
Since it's not me he desires,
I curse them for eternity."
"I make him stay in this time
Her I send to times yet to be
All my dark power I put in this rhyme
As I say it, So Mote It Be!"
But her curse was not strong enough
Even with all her evil schemes
For he'd vowed to always be at your side
Even if it is only in your dreams
