Lady of Day,
Lord of Night
lend me thy power,
thy strength
and thy might
Lend me thy fire,
lend me thy stones,
when the burn of desire
sets deep in my bones.
lend me thy water,
lend me thy air
remind me how laughter
can chill out despair
Destroy all the weakness
that flays at my mind
and watch as the anger
gives way to the kind
so get rid of the sinking
and teach me to fly
and to see all the truth
within the minds eye
But then let me fall
as all mankind should
for without the evil
there would be no good
and without the ugly
no beauty in light
and without the blind
no gift known as sight.
