The Great Circle

Age Group: Adult
The Great Circle
Days long gone
Memories of past
Crumbled stones of alters
And splintered shards of glass
A faint scent of Lavender
And many herbs once burned
Tides and religion
Have once again turned
The abandoned ways
Of many generations before
Like the faces of the moon
Diminished and restored
With the many seasons
Some fall while others grow
A harsh desert drought
Or a light winters snow
Yet threw all of the change
And many long years
We all form this circle, (hand in hand)
Broken free of the fears
Author's Notes: Not long ago I was going threw an old note book of mine and found this poem I had written and forgotten all about, as if to say hey I am here...
