A Paganing Prayer
by Darkened Iris

Blessed be,
This rite is for all to see,
My daughters before My Lord and Lady,
On this summer night so dark and shady.
My Lord,
As fierce and bright,
As My Lady,
So fair and light.
I ask this bounty of You,
Shine down on them.
Give them comfort and sight,
Day and night.
Guide their hands,
Guide their hearts.
That they would walk the path of beauty and light,
So that they do what they know is right.
This is the boon that I ask,
Please grant me this gift.
As it is said,
So mote it be.
Author's Notes: This is a poem I wrote for my daughter's Paganing/Wiccaning.
