A Bouquet For All Seasons
by Darkened Iris
Age Group: Adult
Buttercups and mum,
Gather these for sister circles,
Offer to each woman some.
For mothers-to-be,
Heliotrope and honeysuckle,
Verbena, lily and snowdrop,
Beauty and blessings to rain on thee.
Crocus blooms along the bridge
Between death and rebirth.
They remind us the Old,
Make way for the Young.
Lily of the valley,
Myrtle and mum,
Are for those who have passed,
For remembered affection and love.
Orchid and lupine,
Red rose and ivy vine,
A perfect bunch of flowers,
For a marriage blessed by the Divine.
Wintersleep,
The flower of eternity.
Add to each bouquet you make,
To keep or to greet.
