The Dreamer

You crept into my dream without a sound...
Slipping silently through the cool night air.
Tangled limbs, tangled tongues,
Tangled fingers in my hair.
Hands tracing faces, and farther,
Racing for southern destinations.
Thoughts and dreams effortlessly entwine
Until I am you and you are me and back again.
Warm breath caresses warm skin,
Sending us in and out of places
Neither of us dare to go in daylight.
Over, under, around and through
Whispering all the feelings left unspoken,
Then silently slipping away again.
I am left wanting, waiting, aching
For sleep, for dreams... for you.
