On the Edge

I am on the edge of the world looking over.
There's a million broken mirrors looking back at me.
Once they hung in the heavens a great and wonderous sight.
But they were shattered and rained down like tears from a a broken heart.
And now they reflect the sadness of those too heavy with sorrow to hold up their head.
And the mirrors will spend eternity looking into the windows of a desperate soul...
I am on the edge of the world looking over.
Theres a million broken mirriors looking back at me.
Author's Notes: I wrote this during a dark time in my life, not too long ago. While I am no longer in that cloud, I still feel this poem hits home hard. I am traveling so many new paths...and most of them are the ones not taken (at least by mainstream society) .
