In my world
by Burning Candle
Age Group: Adult
As i stare at the worn planks on the dock
I imagine a world where witches can flock
They mingle and play and worship and dance
The sight of such joy puts me in a trance
As the sun goes down and the light has faded
I get lost in the thoughts that i have created
In my world there is no hate nor guilt
Only witches in the world that ive built
Fires burn and cauldrons brew
Crescent cakes are baked for you
Sage will smudge and herbs will grow
Creatures friendly from bear to crow
The Lord and Lady will always be there
I can freely speak and no one will care
Walking along the garden path
with ease I pick lavender for my bath
When night falls and the moon is above
We gather for a circle created for love
Calling the quarters is nothing wild
Its something you learn to do as a child
Rosemary grows at every gate
Salts always thrown after every mistake
Theres a broom in every home and a fern in every yard
We are all respectful and work very hard
This is a place that I can relax and enjoy
A place ive gone to since i was a young boy
I come here often you should too
Unlike reality this place is for you
But for now the gulf coast is my home
Its nothing fancy but is where ive grown
The beach is a refuge and most people are kind
it will do till i enter the summerland divine
I hope you enjoy my world thats my heart
Merry ye meet and merry ye part!
Author's Notes: Its not the best poem but i just wanted to tell you about my secret place, when things get to rough any my life seems dim i go to my secret place to relax and re-coop.
