Monster

It is love.
Love that binds me here
And keeps me locked up.
That canary that sings,
for freedom
a longing
That is me.
I have lost sight of what is important
and what keeps me going
is nothing more than a small sliver of darkness
and my small will to suppress it.
Don't look..
..Don't see me like this.
This monster that hides beneath my skin.
Shes porcelain pale with azure eyes
and she has my heart, my world, in the palm of her hands.
With one squeeze of my lifeline, she commands me.
And I cannot fight.
I have lost sight.
Lost my mind.
Lost my will
And somehow, it all walked away from me
Monster grips my heart again, this time commanding me away.
& I do not have the strength to disobey.
