The Elements
by Taliesin
Age Group: Adult
Shimmering luminescence
dances across the still surface.
A small pebble falls in
and sends a circle of ripples outward.
Cascading waters
rush heartily over the mossy green stones.
A branch floats downstream
and gets caught up in a torrent of white, yonder.
Soothing winds
breeze and caress the tree tops and rustle the leaves.
A small white feather floats freely
and lands on the soft green knoll below.
Blazing fire
flickers and jumps as it crackles and consumes.
A red hot ember is flung out of the circle and lands on the earth
and slowly sends it’s heating energy outward to the universe beyond.
