Why Is It?

Why Is It?
Why is it that we are so often blind to the needs of those we love?
Why is it that hate is loved and anger cherished in the hearts of man?
Why is it that intolerance is tolerated and blind bigotry begotten?
Why is it that the rich wax richer while the poor get stripped bare?
Why in a world plagued with rampant obesity is there still hunger?
Why in a world so devoted to happiness is there so little in evidence?
Why? Why? Why?
Because……………………………………………………..
Because we do not value that which we already possess
Because we have not chosen to end the hate and put aside the anger
Because we have not acted when wrongs arise
Because we have not chosen to feed the poor and hungry
Because we are comfortable in our ignorance and inaction
Because we are EGO driven, not led by the truth within our hearts
How easy it is for the sensible man, to sit home at ease with remote in his hand
And watch what occurs through the media’s view, while he tells himself sadly there’s ‘nothing’ to do.
We …choose….. to ‘Do’ …or… ‘Do Not’…
There is our why!
