To Enlist the Aid of Patrons

To Enlist the Aid of Patrons...
Standing quietly in space of grays,
Listening to noise as images appear and vanish.
As lights flicker and dim through tunnels,
Thoughts trickle in, on a current of air.
A path torn, with thorns of lust.
Of power, and pleasure, and gems of old,
Ones lot is cast among stones in murky ponds.
Where is light but above your head,
Where is color but just beyond reach?
Take one step forward, be it one step up.
Crack stone with thought, clearing haze from sight.
Know now, that the pond covers but your feet.
Binds you no more from the color of light. Arise from the waters cold weight; see before you the garden.
Remember that within the garden, you await.
Acknowledge the light from within,
Embrace the Aid of Patrons,
Walk Your Path.
