Visions In The Night

Darkest night by candle light seen
Through Cauldron fire true vision did bring
Ogham sticks thrown upon the autumn ground
The silent and creeping darkness was found
Under moonlight the glassy water of the
crystal scrying bowl did reveal
All the shadows of what lay hid beyond the misty veil
A darkness falling, and shadows lengthening
A black fear creeping, and an evil reaching
'Neath Mid-summer moon high, crystal pendulum swinging
Showed forth the darkness enmantled usurper grinning
Amethyst crystal ringing true
Reflected-under Mid-summer moonlight blue
Of coming darkness engulfing all
By fair countenance falsely kind
In Black hearts evil plight all are ensnared we all find
Yet hope remains flickering against the coming
night
In friendship and hearts still true lay secrets
long hid, in timeless halls, far from evils sight.

Author's Notes: This poem was inspired by a crystal pendulum, full moon scrying I did around Mid-summers eve, in which I asked if George Bush would win the election. I was told he would, and that a darkness would ensue. I was also threatened by a dark entity that night, but I don't scare so easy. I showed fourth my inner flame all the brighter, and sent it packing down the wooded trails.
Later, during a Samhain ritual, while doing a fire scrying over my cauldron, and a tossing Ogham sticks, and also doing a water scrying, I saw a creeping, grasping darkness surrounding George Bush, and encompassing this land.
After the election proved what I saw true...this poem came to me at night in my bed.
