What If

I'm sitting here and thinking,
about the empty space,
traveling in my mind
around the twine and lace.
What are they thinking,
What can i say?
Life isn't easy,
day after day.
And they still stare on,
in this broken memory
their heads locked up,
and me without the key.
What, why, when, and how?
we didn't do this to you
but how can we help now?
Not that they agree
i can see it in their eyes
i'm a failure to them
a bag full of lies.
Life, isn't life without love
no matter who, I proclaim
but thier heads are hung low
heads hung in shame
they go off crying
in this broken memory
they think i'm lying
that i'm lying to me
i go knowing
they'll never believe
that in thier heads it might be snowing
but it's all clear to me.
