The Bond

In the dark of the night
Before roaring firelight
Or a darkened visage
We pay our homage.
The wind howls past trees
And around steady knees
While dragons weave
And worries leave.
Beating of the drums
Urges shouts from lungs.
The young shall dance
And fauns dance.
Light bounces off scale
And the set aside mail.
Maidens gaily croon
To draconic tune.
Beloved Dead return
Rekindling passions burn
And the children learn
As the Wheel Turns.
In the dark of the night
Before roaring firelight
We return from Beyond
To acknowledge the Bond.
