Roses in Winter

I can't promise flowers
Or roses in the winter
I can't promise daisies
In the dawn
I can't fight a destiny
Or heaven's ever-after
I can't promise anything be gone
I can't promise lilacs
When winter's chill arises
I can't promise daffodils
In the rain
What I can promise is the love
I have for you ever-lasting
And hope for new tomorrows
In the Spring.
Author's Notes: A lullaby for my little's. I made this up and it's the only one they can fall asleep to!
