A Woman's Rite of Passage

Envision yourself as a Young Girl…
And there was a place you could go…
A place of Women…
A place where there is no fear of the unknown…
No Fear of Curses…
It is a place where you are accepted and acknowledged as a Woman…
It is a place of Celebration…
A place where our mothers and grandmothers have gone before us…
Imagine…
Motherhood
Envision yourself becoming a Mother…
And there was a place you could go…
A place of Women…
A place where there is no fear of the unknown…
No Fear of Original Sin…
It is a place where you prepare for the commitment of Motherhood…
It is a place of Creating Life & Love…
A place where our mothers and grandmothers have gone before us…
Just Imagine…
Wise Woman
Envision yourself as an Older Woman…
And there was a place you could go…
A place of Women…
A place where there is no fear of the unknown…
No Fear of Uselessness…
It is a place where you face the change of life and the pinnacle of Wise Woman…
It is a place of Mentoring & Peace…
A Place where our mothers and grandmothers have gone before us…
If only we could imagine…
Author's Notes: Inspired by a book called "Circle of Stones" and artist Junko Chudos.. It was my intention to create poetry that represented what a woman's journey in life could echo and paint symbolic representations and include the poetry. The poetry is included on a tryptic set, acrylic on mylar, which is seen in my photo above
