What do you want of me?
Do you want my hand?
Do you want my heart?
Do you want my innocence?
You took the first.
i gave you the second.
the third you never recieved.
Oh, the anger!
insults hurled at my fragile body.
they pierced like arrows.
i did not show my pain.
i loved blindly, ignored the abuse.
you pushed me away, yet i always came when you called.
i will not be your bitch, to quote your own words.
i shall not be insulted any more.
to call me a whore, a slut, an evil woman is too much.
i am none of these things.
name me not such horrible things.
they are not me.
they are not my name.
i am Alex to my friends, Moonfire to a few trusted.
my friends do not call me by such names.
you were supposed to be my best friend, my love.
i should not be such things to you.
my spirit was crouched in submission.
now it rises, strong and in control.
you shall not treat me in such a manner, or any woman for that matter.
women do not deserve such treatment.
i have not fought my way through life to be treated so horribly by one i love.
i take my hand and my heart back.
they are your's no longer.
find someone else to put up with your bull.
i'll deal with it no more.
no more lies from you, no more tricks from you.
you can hide no more.
come out and face the music.
insult me again and face the wrath of my friends and family.
i refuse to deal with you any longer.
Author's Notes: i wrote a lot of poems about my breakup.
eventually they'll all make their way to being posted.
