Sleeping Dream

A ball of darkness.
Light around the edges, not reaching to the center of the ball.
I sleep at the center.
Since the light does not reach me i do not wake.
I do not dream.
I listen.
Listen to a heartbeat.
For the longest time, I know not what the heartbeat belongs to.
I listen to the pulse.
Listen, listen, listen.
I listen, and then I know.
It is the heartbeat of the universe.
It beats in time to my own heart.
The universe breathes.
I breathe with it.
The heart beats.
Mine beats in time with it.
I am one with worlds.
I am one with stars.
I am one with life.
We are one.
