Moon Dark

She crawls across a black sand beach
Flesh side out
By the light of no moon.
She's going somewhere,
Forward at least.
She feels the wet
And the salt
Through the dark glassy edges
And the sticky little pieces of herself she's leaving behind,
Sacrifices for a prayer
To Effortless Equilibrium.
Author's Notes: maybe heavy on the self-pity but how else do you work through it???
