Annwyn...
You call to me. I have been here before on that pilgrimage long ago to hill top and tor. I dreamed of you dark one, thought you were the Arch-Angel Michael but you are older than that. So much older.... Gwen Ap Nudd. Lord of under and mystery. Lord of Fey and Wild Hunt. I quiver for them, those long forgotten rides. Dark of night with hell hounds howling for blood and more. I want to sit with you on your black horse, eyes ablaze with sword raised, running madly foaming mouth. Feel the heat from your body and your gaze knowing that there's no separation from sex and death and blood.
I've been to the Gates of Annwyn. Stood on Tor and looked beyond the moor. I laid down then in the rain on cold stone floor and screamed your name. Cried and cried till my voice was gone. Tried and tried, was not ready then.
I'm ready now. I stand at the gate. Take your hand its' calloused palm in my hand soft and joined forever. I know its not Elysium, know its not some heaven. Its raw and wild and full of passion. I can't go back no matter how I try, can't be mundane or some prosaic s' wife. Rather be a mistress or your lover or lead some other kind of life.
I stand at the gate, I turn the key. I am ready to gaze upon the mystery. Annwyn is opening for me to see... Gwen is coming, life and death are full of possibility. Where are the warriors? Where have they gone? The men who hunted till the break of dawn. Are they only legend of your dark host? They will come again, of this I know.. I'll see it in their eyes know it in their pulse. Warrior hunter your kind is lost... legend now and not of flesh. Rare you are of that wild breed, will you know me mistress of the mists? I think you will and when you come I'll feel your arms around me until the break of dawn.

Author's Notes: Thoughts about Annwyn and the Wild Hunt and times past.... When I visited Glastonbury Tor I was touched by Gwen Ap Nudd and the power of that place. It haunts me still.
