Death by a Kitchen Knife {song}

Audrey Hepburn glasses, smile on her face.
Don't look through the lies now, they'll take you to a place
Chorus 1:
You don't want to see,
Glad it isn't me.
Bruises on her cheekbones.
Leave her all alone.
There was nothing you can do,
It isn't up to you.
She is fading fast now, she's bleeding all her tears.
Soon she will be gone, and with her all your fears.
So pretend you didn't notice, just say you didn't know,
Don't let the guilt come through now, no never let it show.

Standing in the graveyard, the innocent demise.
The ghosts already whispering, the moon is on the rise.
At the funeral, there was talk of her life, but no one even mentioned her death by kitchen knife.

Just glad it wasn't me.
Bruises on her cheekbones,

There was nothing you could do,
It wasn't up to you.
They say it was an accident, a horrible mishap.
No one blames the tall man wearing a baseball cap.
The knife was in his hands, her blood on his face,
But it seems that common sense has been temporarily misplaced.
