Angels and Witches

turn it up
wicked witch into the oven
burn bleed freeze
tear out,
rip away the impurities
turn back the clock
and throw rocks
at the girl who in moments
and measures
and careless displeasures,
destroys it all
throwing the rocks
that build up the wall
mortar and brick
bleeding and sick
without their wings
even angels of air
are bound to plummet like stones,
can't help but fall
such weakness in witches
in fairytales
such worth in the stitches
of thread
with hunger and horror and haste
and new nightmares chased
those witches always end up dead
angels to witches
and witches to dust
it's all the same
the face and the silence
the hope and the rust
the shame
