Rushin River

Flow strong the snake, through the hills of the land
Rushing over rocks and ranges, turning all into sand
Redoubtable mountains, worn by Your unyielding will
Clever in twilight breeches, sifting Her shining light still
The ripples of rain, the patters of streams
Swiftly and softly You pour in my dreams
Flowing life, flowing death, sun flecked in motion
Your life and your death from the Mother the ocean
Mix with my clay, mould into sea
Tear down the tree lined banks in fury
But to be reborn, to travel anew
You must give in to the sky
…the winds must carry Your dew
The release, the trust, over the mount and the dale
What dreams do You dream asleep in cloud’s spell?
I laugh and I dance in the rainbow spring rain
For I and the heaven’s dew are one and the same.
