Feral Light

He is all color
filling in the grey,
liquid amber words
and galaxies contained.
Tall trees call to me,
naming the sunset
in shades of sweet fruit,
elemental and essential,
he is all feral light,
all autumn and deepening sight.
I cannot keep away
from the scent of the earth,
raw with sleeping secrets
and pieces of truth.
He warms me
and charms me with tastes
of forest twilight and tree bark,
and my skin unfurls,
betraying the orchids,
obeying the sun's languid gold light.
