On Silver...

I always carry some Silver in this pocket of mine
Case I be a strolling an meet the Devil so fine
Carrying it in my Left, and He be having the time
Gatherin my dues, whether quarters or dime
Not that I grudge him, nah we done quite fair
Gives me strange visions, the Sabbath in the air
An the men don’t bother me, in fact they all did pray
That day Ol’Horny an I got it on in the glade…
Carry the ferry for the boatman, He’s met you a few
And if ya got extra Silver, leave some for the Moon
But don’t be alarmin’, for charm is His sway
Just remember to enjoy it, when ol’Nick has His way!
