Little Hecate

They call me 'Little Hecate'
They whisper it in my ear
Mum and my little elven friend
They whisper it loud enough for all worlds to hear
They call me 'Little Hecate'
When the people need love and care
They call me by it when I'm stubborn
And when my nature is to be fair
They call me 'Little Hecate'
When, in the moonlight I stroll about
Wondering and wandering into places long revered
Into tight spaces of my farthest mind and its filling doubt
Or the openess of the dark foggy grounds
Weaving through the headstones
Praying these souls to be found
They call me 'Little Hecate'
After the day is gone
They call me by this name
Knowing the things I have done
Putting aside my own self to help the lost and shelved
And in the night when I sleep tight
I hear a now familiar voice saying;
"Good Night, my Little Hecate, good night."
It's not my mum I hear then
but my protector
the caregiver when I am ill
when my spirit soars low
my guide when I am lost
My Mother Hecate!
