Summerland

Fly to a land
That fits in your hand
Pink champagne and flower apples
Candy kisses and silver castles
Ruby lips and emerald eyes
Where everyone lives and no one dies
Love within all
With no place to fall
Bowls of rainbow ice cream
Cotton candy and tangerines
My love and our loved ones
And all others who wish to come
Gardens of sparkling jewels
There’s only one set of rules:
“Love each other and Harm None, and in so doing,
Will find serenity and blissful magick brewing.”
Hand in hand and cheek to cheek
Love surrounds us week by week
Keep your mind steady and let your heart free
And there will be held a place in Summerland for you and for me
Author's Notes: This poem was my first published work. It was published in 2005 and won the Editor's Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry for "unique perspective and original creativity"
This poem is, by far, one of the most favorite that I've ever written and means a great deal to me.
