The Simplest of Requests

My dearest God I ask of you
The simplest of requests.
I ask that you bring goodwill and peace
To those I love and wish the best.
Relieve them of all pain and harm,
And all else that may cause them unrest
My dearest God and Goddess I ask of you
That if they were to find themselves
In the deepest of turmoil,
Dear God and Goddess please be their light
And lead them to what should be,
Their true and rightful path.
Let them see within themselves,
What they are truly worth.
Before they may be harmed once more
By any demon's wrath.
My dearest God and Goddess I ask of you
With all of true sincerity,
Protect the ones I care for please
Rid them of all sadness and tears.
And help them find true serenity,
To help them face their deepest fears.
My dearest God and Goddess I ask of you
Watch over those true and dear to me.
Help them find the virtue of love,
Rid them of all memories
That may lead them to dismay;
Give them strength to always have
All inner demons at bay.
My dearest God and Goddess, protect them,
And make sure to never let evil come their way.
