The Music Born Inside the Earth

The only music that can speak truly
Is the sounds born into the earth.
I have great gratitude for the ocean’s
Waves that yell with life as they splash.
Then there is the dampness that rests upon
A bright green meadow, trying to
Send a signal to me of the charming
And stillness it holds, satisfying
All the nature and magic rest inside
My heart. But only the chirping
Of the birds utter an unknown language.
And when the time comes, flames explode
With purity, forming a bubble of
Illumination. Calls from the
Wild forest beg me to come search for
My intuition and all that
I was. Though only when the wind flows, that
Is when I know who I am.
Author's Notes: I wrote this poem a few minutes ago! :) My name is Zoe and I am a fourteen year old wiccan. (and writer and poet)
