My Choices

Age Group: Adult
I can change my pastel style
And cover my sparkling smile
I can talk to my icy shrink
Oh my Lady what does she think
I can cut my crown of red hair
And my pride if I only dare
I can hide in the velvet of dark
And pretend I am not smart
I can speak to a holy priest
He only says beware of the beast
OR
I can reach for my hopes and all of my dreams
So much more than it really seems
I can talk to my friends from the north
And feel the love blossom forth
I can hug my mighty live oak
It’s strong beauty I gently stroke
I can open my heart to the light
This game of life I have no fright
I can speak to my Lady today and always
Her love for me never decays
For I will choose not to fall or go insane
I am alive, I am Alaysia Raine.
