Tears

She thinks of him and her tears start to fall
Her spells and incantations are not working at all
She is all alone, no voices to sooth her sorrow
She expects nothing different in the coming tomorrow.
She walks in the sand, gazing at the moon
Releasing his memory has to come soon
She’ll watch and wait, yet she is not free
She misses him so, but his love was never meant to be.
Her heart of love has turned to a heart of stone
Her twin flame is forever lost, her spirit stands alone
The air is chilled, no arms to hold her steadfast
She is looking for the future in her own past.
She’s just a ghost, an empty shell
Darkness is always closing in, as in a well.
She has to be strong, no more being against a wall
But then she thinks of him, and her tears start to fall.
Author's Notes: I wrote this years ago after losing a very special friend in my life. I thought I would never love again. I still miss him, only now when I think of him, it brings a smile to my heart. I did love again and also realized that love is an emotion that is unstoppable and can never be taken from you, whether you are with your true twin flame or not.
