I Will

Age Group: Adult
I will mourn for you in the months ahead
With everything that was left unsaid
I will mourn for you in the years to come
And everything that I have shied away from
I will think of you on long winter nights
On your wings you lifted me to new heights
I will think of you on the coldest of days
And feel the warmth from all your loving ways
I will see you in every snowflake that falls
The chill in the breeze, can you hear my calls
I will see you in every fog frozen tree
Soft rime like sweet sugar, a sight to see
I will hear you in every sweetly sung song
The voice of Bublé how could it be wrong
I well hear you in the silence of my breath
My last hope before I dance with death
I will taste you with every savor of the finest wines
A light chardonnay from bursting grape vines
I will taste you with every sip of chicken soup
Our little secret, our little scoop
I will miss all the movies left unseen
The Sound of Music and Field of Dreams
I will miss all the poems and books left unread
With every word every thought left unsaid
I will cherish you with all your knowledge so wise
A visionary, an intellect, you are full of surprise
I will cherish you with all that you share and offer
These few words are only part of what I proffer
I will remember everything that you taught me
Like Sleeping Beauty awake now you see
I will remember all the promises that you gave
In my heart they have long been engraved
I will always imagine the trips we had planned
Tropical islands and long walks in the sand
I will always imagine what could have been
Watching it snow from a quaint little inn
I will celebrate the few moments we had
They no longer make me feel exhaustingly sad
I will celebrate the loving memories we share
The prince of my castle, in the air
I will dream of you, you are by my side
In ivory lace, I am your bride
I will dream of you, you are in my arms
Safe and warm you are free from harm
I will love you until the end of time and beyond
Despite the distance we share a common bond
I will love you always my sweet sunshine
Shining upon my heart your own design.
Author's Notes: Just about had to make myself stop writing on this one. I guess when you are passionate about something the words simply keep coming. I'm sure you understand. Enjoy, Light and Love, Alaysia
