A Music Box of Memories

A music box of memories
On an achingly tearful anniversary
Treasures full of generous dreams
Golden lockets and silver streams
Your innocent features barely in view
In a wrinkled worn photo of you
A feather that was kindly gifted
Onto your path it gently drifted
A poem from your beloved beau
How his smoldering love did over flow
A linen kerchief hand stitched in red
From a small Belgian town you once said
A favorite broach of diamonds and pearls
You nestled in long auburn red curls
More important than the few things here
Being born of you I hold divinely dear
Your recognitions are now my own
Of simple times and honor well known
Living an unwavering life of fluent good
From delicate needle point to chopping wood
Passing onto me your spiritual soundness
Our pulsing recollections are now ageless
The grandest of seers you taught me well
I say yet again a final farewell.
