Don’t be so serious
Don’t be so cautious
Let’s play, let’s pretend
Laughter, I always recommend
Don’t be so sober
Don’t be so somber
Smile, it won’t hurt
Happiness you’ll exert
Let’s walk the Old Trace
It’s such a celestial place
Let’s make believe the past
It slipped away so fast
Run thru the fields
Let’s go unconcealed
Put your toes in the creek
May I kiss your cheek
Maybe a swim is on your mind
A relaxing way to really unwind
Up for Marco Polo anyone
Let’s break out the squirt guns
A game of Scrabble, you don’t say
I’m quite good, by the way
For that smile, I’ll let you win
And gladly take it on the chin
A chuckle or a little snort
Hidden under the bed sheet fort
We roll laughing so loudly
That’s what I need to hear so badly.
